Dustin Edwards selected as recipient of the SNEC-AFS Student Travel Award to attend the American Fisheries Society meeting in Lake Placid, September 2006.  Congratulations Dustin!  Read more about Dustin here.


Student Travel Awards
for 2009 AFS meeting

Information for the John E. Skinner Student Travel Award.  This award is offered by the American Fisheries Society and was established in memory of John Skinner, former Chapter and Western Division American Fisheries Society President, to help deserving student recipients travel to the next AFS meeting.  Application deadline May 9th by midnight.

Information for the SNEC-AFS Student Travel Award.  This award is offered by the Southern New England Regional Chapter and helped a deserving student recipient travel to the AFS meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, August 30 - September 3, 2009 to make an oral or poster presentation. New limited stipend for attending.  Application deadline May 29th.

SNEC Professional Award Nominations

The Southern New England Chapter (SNEC) of the American Fisheries society periodically makes awards to individuals and organizations it feels deserving of special recognition. We are currently seeking nominations for these awards: Award of Excellence, Irwin Alperin Award, Outstanding Organization Award, & the Lesa Meng Aquatic Conservation Award.
