SNEC Member Kudos
- At the 2010 AFS meeting in Pittsburgh, SNEC member Danielle Reich
and co-author, Joseph DeAlteris, received the Mercer Patriarch Award
for their publication entitled “A Simulation Study of the Effects of
Spatially Complex Population Structure for Gulf of Maine Atlantic Cod.”
This paper was selected as the best publication for 2009 in the North
American Journal of Fisheries Management.

SNEC member, Justin Davis, was selected as the 2010 AFS Bioengineering
Section Ned Taft Travel Award 2010 recipient. Justin has been studying
questions of herring migration and striped bass predation.

Alicia Landi has been awarded the Best Student Poster Award from the
Fisheries Technology and Information Section of AFS for her poster
presentation at the 2010 AFS Annual Meeting.
